Howdy! Welcome to the downloads section where you’ll find a little added value to your FotoForm purchase. I recommend downloading the Guide.psd project for making life in Photoshop a bit easier on your own FotoForm projects. There are also loads of finished projects that were developed for the promo video, allowing you to familiarise yourself with the workflow much quicker.

Feel free to leave a comment too!

    WHAT IS IT?
    FotoForm Paint Guide Template [PSD].

    WHAT’S IT FOR?
I recommend this download for any of your own projects.

    DOWNLOAD LINK:

    DESCRIPTION:
The majority of the downloadable demo projects include what I’ve called the “Paint Map” inside the “USER” folder. As you’ve seen in the Photoshop Template instructions in the full version, I recommend “painting” the different layers of your photo to make it easier to prepare the artwork for FotoForming in After Effects. So I thought it might be helpful to include how the painting was setup for each demo. These images also serve as a decent prompt for how you might use this Paint Guide template for your own projects!

    DESCRIPTION:
If you’ve just purchased FotoForm and are excited to get started, I definitely recommend trying one of the pre-made FotoForm projects! These are all effectively ready to render, allowing you to quickly check out all stages of the FotoForming process, without feeling overwhelmed. I personally think reverse engineering and getting hands on is one of the best ways to learn – something I teach to my students also. But be warned, some are far more resource intensive than others!

Is there a video torurial for all this. It would be great to watch and listen to how you did all that using Fotoform. Please can let us know if there is any?

    Thanks
    Suzannah

Hi Suzannahs, what specific areas are you struggling with? Here are a few ideas:

    – Have the enabled the help prompts for each stage?
    – Have you read the PhotoShop documentation?
    – How you downloaded the FotoForm Paint Guide Template [PSD]?

These are all resources to help you build momentum but also challenge you to build your skill-set in After Effects and Photoshop.

If you have a specific stumbling block though, I can record a quick screencast for you. I want to avoid long videos if possible because people lose attention very fast, but I don’t mind growing a library of quick explainers in the screencast thread, to serve as prompts.

    Best,
    Dave
